Unable to open Word doc in Internet Explorer

I have a user who cannot open a Word document which is stored as a Document attribute in a Business Object. He says he sees a flash, then nothing. He confirms that pop-up blocker is not on, as does his IT help. I can open the document fine on any browser. I have advised him to try other computers/browsers. Waiting on that. Certainly not an AwareIM issue, but I'll take any suggestions.

Another possibility is that MS Word is not installed on the client's machine...

Thanks. No, I checked that. I'm thinking they need to add to trusted sites. This is a heavily managed system (cops).

In haste ... I know there's a post somewhere but your user needs to tweak the internet options in the browser

"always prompt for file downloads" needs to be enables

Since my application is on a secure site, they had to add it to trusted sites in IE. Even though they said they had done so, it turned out that they hadn't.
