Reference Problem

I have a small business object with 4 attributes

RegionDescription Text
RegionMap Document
RegionTitle Text

I add a reference attribute "RegionRD" with type "NSCPers" with multiple allowed and attributes to display selected.

The reference attribute creates OK but when I attempt to save the modified object I'm warned that any existing data for RegionCode will be lost. What's that about?

I guess no one wanted to touch this one.

The solution was to remove the object altogether. Create a new major version and rebuild the object from scratch with a reference attribute to start with. Once that was accomplished I could add/delete additional reference attributes at will with no mention of loss of data for an unrelated attribute.
