Redirecting After Logout

Got a question.

The default PC version URL for my business space it like

http://MYSERVER:8080/AwareIM/logonOp.aw?domain=MYBS

When a user logout of the system, I basically redirect it to the same URL by modifying the logoff.jsp and this works great.

Now I am creating a mobile version of the same business space and the URL is like

http://MYSERVER:8080/AwareIM/logonOp.aw?mobile=true&domain=MYBS

My problem is when I logout from the mobile version, it would redirect me to the PC version and not the mobile version.

How do I address this issue? Is there anything I can modify in the logoff.jsp so it knows which version to go to?

You do not need to modify logoff.jsp. Just specify the URL in the properties of the logout command in the corresponding visual perspective (logoff.jsp is just the default setting there)

I am getting this same HTTP verb error. How do I redirect the logout to another web page (that is not in the AwareIM directory?

Hi,
A lot of forums describes this error like being a webserver problem. So the problem is not in AwareIM, it's on your web hosting server.

"even if you are using IIS or apache, my guess you are using static html page as a landing page, and by default the web server doesn't allow POST or GET verb on .html page.

the solution would be to rename the page into .php or .aspx and you should be good to go"

OK - I will try the renaming thing.

However, it still seems that it is an AwareIM problem because AwareIM should be able to detect if it is static or not and/or should be able to handle both static and scripts.

1) You CAN put a URL directly in the URL field. Example from one of my BSVs:

http://myservername:8080/AwareIM/logonOp.aw?domain=cf&logonPage=logon_Updates.html

Support - I agree with Powerm. Any possibility of a tweak here? It would be great the URL also come from a BO attribute.

Thanks all,

I simply renamed the .html file to .php per weblike's suggestion and now it works as desired.

Just as some background - in my case I was wanting to go to the root of the website (e.g. index.html). So I renamed index.html to index.php. Then in the URL field of the Logout menu item in AwareIM, I have http://domainname and it works as perfectly.
