NEWBIE: Calendar Upgrade Request

corradomatt

So I just started messin' with AwareIM and I'm lovin' it so far.....well, except for one area - the calendar.

As it sits right now, the calendar feature is ok but it could use some major improvement. I would love to see full support/integration of Ext Calendar Pro.

I just found it tonight after I did a quick search and it looks amazing!

I'm thinking of purchasing AwareIM to develop an app to run my wife's small business and we are in the service industry so I need a good calendar. We're using Google Calendar right now and it's working ok....but with AwareIM and Ext Calendar Pro I could make an amazing app in no time!

Maybe there is a way for me to install the calendar app as an addon or something. If so, where can I find instructions or a guide to help me do this?

Aware IM's calendar feature IS BASED on the EXT Calendar Pro that you are referring to. So I am not sure why you are not happy with the Aware IM feature.

And it also supports most features of the EXT Calendar Pro...

Good to know! Thanks for the reply. I have been search the forums to see if there are some features supported and I can't find the info. Maybe you could shed some light on the subject for me....

1. Edit the hours shown on the week view in the scheduler. I noticed that we can edit the hours shown per daily view but I would also like the ability to show custom hours ranges per day in the weekly view as well
2. Is there an easy to way to prevent a staff member from being schedule through validation? I'm looking for something like this... http://ext-scheduler.com/examples/validation/validation.html where "robot 3" is blocked from being scheduled.
3. When using a calendar or scheduler view is there a way to establish a "snapToIncrement" type of functionality? Basically, when clicking and draggin an event from one spot to another I would like the event to be "snapped" into either an even hour, 15, 30, or 45 minutes past the hour automatically.

If none of these features can be impliemented now, are they options that we can expect in the future since they are available with EXT Calendar Pro?

These features are not supported yet - we may add this support in the future versions. However, if you are familiar with Javascript you can easily modify the default Aware IM code to add this support yourself.
