Prevent "modified" rule from being executed

Hi again, guys

here is another one for you:

I have 2 atributes in a BO:
LastUpdateDate
LastSendDate

When the user change the BO
[RULE]i set LastUpdateDate to current_date and reset the LastSendDate

[PROCESS] Then when user sends an email i have to set the LastSendDate attribute

Here is the issue:
When i set the LastSendDate to the current_date (on the process)...the system starts the rule above and reset the LastSendDate

So... is there a way i can somehow prevent a modified rule from beign executed?
Like in this case...i just want to set the attribute and don't do anything else...

What i do instead of using: Account WAS CHANGE

I used to track each individual attribute...
Account.Name WAS CHANGE -> if change then the LastUpdateDate rule fire.

So if you fire the process of LastSendDate, it will not change the LastUpdateDate..

I tried other solutions before but this works better. It's the biggest IF I ever wrote, but it works.
