Getting current longtitude and latitude

Has anyone created a business space that has a process that can get the current latitude and longtitude coordinate of the device and pass the result to an business object attribute?

I heard that in the future release of AwareIM, this functionality will be supported. Just curious if someone has already done something similar using scripts or something. I found a geolocation javascript online but I am not sure how to import the result of the URL into my BO attribute.

I tried that URL_CONTENTS but it wouldnt work. The html I found online apparently will nor return the value. I am no java expert but it says something about how ajax response to processor.

In my Aware process I simply BO.attribute=URL_CONTENTS('http://url/gps.html')

Here is the html that I found and placed on one of my web server. I can open it on the browser (http://url/gps.html) and the alert works.

This script can be put into the AwareIM/Tomcat/webapps/AwareIM/startup.html. It will be executed if you put it there. However, to pass the results of the script to the Aware IM system you'll need to write Javascript that uses AJAX and Aware IM's XML API.

wow thats going to be tough. i am no hardcore programmer particularly using java. this might take me a while to figure this out. hopefully the new version of awareim that supports gps tracking will be out by then.
