SInce 1024x768 is here to stay but looks super silly on the lerger monitors many folks have available I am trying to create two optimized views, one for 768 tall and one for 1080 tall. I have everything working right if the user logs out then back in after a change but I want the change to happen as soon as the user selected a resolution value.
I've tried a few ways to do this mostly with similar results to the chain below:
- I made rule similar to this: If RegularUser.Resolution='Optimized 768' Then DISPLAY PERSPECTIVE User768 which caused this...
"The server may have started a process that requires interaction with the user. This is disallowed in the current context. Please check your configuration to make sure there are no rules attached to an object that start a process requiring user interaction."
- so I move the rule into a process and try again using 'If RegularUser.Resolution='Optimized 768' Then User768' Now the result seems to be no effect.
So I check the logs and find 'Adding action User768 to the agenda, but later there is a message that the attribute value could not be defined so I modified the rule to use LoggedInRegularUser and now I am right back to #1 above!!!
Frustrating. Anyone have suggestion of this?
