Hello!

Im trying to make an equation to find the diference of time between 2 TIME_STAMP

Example:

ARRIVAL: 01/01/2011:09:00
DEPATURE: 01/02/2011:11:00
TIME: 26 HOURS

I cannot find a funtion in AwareIm Version 5.0. Can anyone help me, and share the knowledge.

Hi,
This might get you started on the right track. I suspect that this will work as long as the departure and arrival dates are the same, it will likely not work if they are different.:

BO.Time=HOURS(BO.Departure-BO.Arrival)

If your duration spans two or more days, you might need to calculate the DAY_DIFF and multiply it by 24 and add it into the equation unless someone else has a cleaner solution.

Okay,
Either of the following approaches will work under any conditions depending on whether you want the time difference to be in hours and minutes or hours and fractions of an hour:

Approach 1 - BO.Time is calculated number field with format #.00 and calculation = BO.Time=(BO.Departure-BO.Arrival)/3600000

Approach 2 - BO.Duration is calculated duration field with format HH:MM and calculation = BO.Duration=(BO.Departure-BO.Arrival)

For example:
If BO.Arrival=05/17/11 01:00
If BO.Departure=05/18/11 02:30
Then BO.Time=25.50
and BO.Duration=25.30

Hello!

I manage to do this and works. But it doest not work with minutes.

If DAY_DIFFERENCE2(BO.DEPATURE,BO.ARRIBAL)< 1

Then

BO.Demoras=HOURS(BO.ARRIBAL-BO.DEPATURE)

else

BO.Demoras=HOURS(BO.ARRIBAL-BO.DEPATURE)+(DAY_DIFFERENCE2(BO.DEPATURE,BO.ARRIBAL)*24)

It works, but just for the hours. I'll work more to get it done.

Use the info from my second post, not my first post and you will be able to show minutes without any if/then statements.
