Kahuna,
FYI -- Here is how I do most of my testing in case it helps you.
I have 2 environments with AwareIM license: laptop & web based server.
On my laptop, I have the default Derby database. During the very initial phases of developing a BSV, I will work almost exclusively on my laptop. When I get the BSV to a decent starting point, I export the BSV to my laptop hard drive.
On the web based server, all you have to do is create the "shell" BSV (simply create a blank BSV with a name) & publish it. From that point on, to transfer the latest BSV version from my laptop to the web server, simply login to the web server's BSV in Operation mode & select Standard | Upload Version.
On my web server, I use MySql. If I want to transfer test data from my laptop to web server, I do it via CSV files. I rarely do this.
