Stock Accumulating Total

Good day everyone...

I have the following BO to track the stock item Alpha

Stock Item IN OUT Balance
Alpha 5 5
Alpha 2 3
Alpha 3 6

my attribute is the stock item, in and out only.

How to do the balancing amount auto on the grid and the reports?
Did i need to create a attribute of balance?

Is there any way to create a variable on the query to compute the balancing?

Is there any way to create a variable on the report to compute the balancing?

do anyone have done this before? please help.... thanks.

Sounds like adding a balancing attribute should work.

yes.. the balancing attribute...

but there is an opening balance beginning of the month

Date.................stock IN..........Stock Out..............Balance
01-01-2011............................................................10
05-01-2011...........2...............................................12
08-01-2011..................................4..........................8

the opening balance stock is the balance from last month.

how do I present this on the query and on reports?

anyone have done this before? please help....

Seems like you need 5 attributes... start, in, out, end and current

At the end of each month Set the current to end and the Start Balance with end of previous months balance.

Reports need context: If this is for historic reporting 'current' does not belong. If it's a restocking report, only current matters.

In the report design can create variable?

Last time I use VB... I create a variable called Balanceb/f (which sum the balance before 01-01-2011.. then create a variable field called AccBalance which AccBalance + Balnceb/f..... then it will show the balance everyline... until the end....

I use variable becuase it value always change.. as new stock item in or out.. the value change from the beg to end..

what should I with AwareIM?

My suggestion is to invest some time & learn the various aspects of AwareIM. Some of these questions are not simple questions, but require that you grasp certain AwareIM concepts.

Have you done that yet?
