I have been using charting a fair amount to create dashboards and have a few ideas which would add some really value IMHO. There are work around for several of these, but they have some flaws. The big one for me would be 1a, it puts so much power into users hands and I would think is easy to implement since the mechanics already exist.
Same tools as normal queries
a. Apply Reduce/Extend Filter Results (could be so powerful!)
b. Print
c. Export data to excel
Option for static lines (X or Y baseline)
Have a % handling function. If graph is a %, then multiply all #s by 100
Allow expressions for the X Label. i.e. – ‘Data A’ + ‘Data B’ = X label.
Seems like there is a bug if you use ‘Ask at run time’. The prompt works but the results are not filtered at all. Working on steps to re-pro now. If confirmed I'll add it to the other section.
Give a little visual queue when the user hits refresh, even if the data is the same. When I hit it often it seems like nothing happened.
Just some ideas, Thanks.
