Can't Save to External DB Table

BO in External (Oracle) DB.

I browse to a row of interest and make a small change, attempt to save.

The message is along the lines : Error reading business object: Table 'BASDBTest.BASTESTDOMAINXXX_YYY' does not exist.

(This is 4.95 build 1399)

What are Consumables and MPMUser? Are they business objects with external persistence?

Consumables is the name of the Business Space

MPMUser is the BO name for the externally stored object.

This is strange. Seems like Aware IM thinks that MPMUser is persisted in an Aware IM-managed database, not externally. Are you sure you have configured everything correctly? Maybe you have changed persistence from native to external at some point for an existing business object?

What does the error message say exactly?
