I'm trying to follow the context rules but am having difficulty.
I have a process that creates an instance of an object in the 1st rule:
ENTER NEW OBJA USING MAIN
The main form is displayed, data entered, and the 'CREATE' button pressed. The instance is created correctly.
Then in a 2nd rule in the process I want to use an attribute of the instance of OBJA just created to find an instance of another object
FIND OBJB WHERE (OBJA.abc = OBJB.abc)
The instance of OBJA has the correct 'abc' attribute and I know there is an OBJB with a matching 'abc' value.
The FIND is failing on me. I need to create a transaction record of the of the creation of the new OBJA instance and I need to include attributes of the matching OBJB in that transaction record.
The User Guide tells me that the 'CREATE' places the new instance in context but I'm finding that is not quite the case. At least within the process. This is a 'bean counter' non negotiable must. I need help with this one.
Thanks
