Is anyone interested in coming to an Aware user group meeting?

Share ideas, do some short show and tell sessions (15 mins each) demoing some cool features you have built, maybe someone could do a master class/workshop etc.

I was thinking it could be for a day, or an evening for a few hours, location would be in Sydney Australia. If someone has a conference/meeting room they could donate then great, otherwise there are other options.

Well, it's been 3 long years, but after Mark's (and Co) great efforts at the AwareIM Vegas conference, we want to try and get a regular Sydney AwareIM Users Meetup happening. Perhaps every 2 months.

With that in mind, we would like to have expressions of interest for the first event - Thursday 21 May 2015 at 7pm... location to be decided (anyone with a conference room, or free location suggestion please PM me).

Since developers are spread all over the world, would there be more interest for webevents like webinars etc.? We could start doing one a month or something like that and do mini conferences on the web covering different topics, learning, show & tell, instructional, discussions etc. etc.?

Sure the time slot might be difficult for some but is a price I for one am willing to pay.

I'm in the Eastern United States.

I think a webinar like gotomeeting or webex would be great. Also, it could be recorded for member's of this "virtual user group" to view if they aren't able to "tune in" when it is live due to time zone issues etc.

Also, maybe there could be a forum to discuss the webinar for those that are watching a recorded version. That would make the recorded version more interactive.

I would imagine members could pay a small fee to help cover cost of forum or webmeeting software?

Or maybe all of that is too complicated.
