Import to Aware BO

I'm trying to follow the user guide Import/Export section. It seems long on "why" but fairly short on "how."

"NOTE: It is possible to use a particular attribute, rather than ID attribute to indicate update operation. If you add “*” symbol before the name of the object and attribute in the header of the CSV file, Aware IM will use values of this attribute to find instances of business objects to modify (only one instance must be found for each value of the attribute). This may be useful when exchanging data with non-Aware IM systems that do not have the ID attribute."

Does this mean I can create a CSV like this:

"*OBJ.AttributeA", "OBJ.AttributeE","OBJ.AttributeD"
12345,09/10/2011,5300
12346,09/10/2011,5300

then do the import and Aware will look for an instance OBJ.AttributeA with the value in the first column and then update that instance with the other two attributes in the second and third columns?

Yes, you are perfectly right. The attribute(s) marked with stars can be used to uniquely identify an existing instance of a business object. All other attributes can be used to change its values.

I take the above to mean that I can use multiple attributes to uniquely identify an existing instance of a business object.

Is this new since build 1372?

When I try to import the following in build 1372 (both Field1 and Field2 are needed to uniquely identify an instance):

ObjA.Field1,ObjA.Field2,ObjA.Field3
ABC,123,xyz
ABC,789,tuv

I get the error 'Incorrect format of import file. Data column with primary key attribute must be first in the file.'

No, this is not new. The columns with stars must be first in the CSV
