Migrating Existing System to AWareIm

Hi, I need some help on the best practice on how to tackle this issue.

I need to develop a new AwareIm system which need to migrate the current Db into new AW db.
The current system has a table Person with fields

personkey - autoincrement integer - set as primary ley
Person_Name - customer name
Person_Identity_NO - unique identity no.
parentkey - foreignkey to personkey

Business rule is:

Person can be a parent or son
Identity No is unique to each person

The question is:
How to I design the person table In Awareim to cater for

personkey - autoincrement - cannot find type
parentkey

Any guide is really appreciated.

This is really basic Aware IM stuff. You need to understand the concept of references in Aware IM - please read the User Guide.

There are NO primary or foreign keys in Aware IM!!! It manages them automatically begind the scenes.

Your Person object just needs two references to itself - Parent and Son.

What I am not clear is that, how do Awareim handle autoincrementkey. It is a system generated key and user should not know about it.

Aware IM maintains its own auto-incremented key called ID. This is done behind the scenes, but the value of the ID can be shown to the user
