Hello,

I should be able to select all customers that are in a specified radius from one customer's postal code.
I've found geonames.org .
Calling http://ws.geonames.org/findNearbyPostalCodes?postalcode=8680&country=AT&radius=5
gives me exactly what I need. And now the return data should be used as parameters for a query. IMO this should be doable with AwareIM's standard functionality.
But I'm somehow lost in space when trying to integrate this into AwareIM. Could someone be so kind and point me in the right direction ?

how is the data returned by this site? Is this a web service or the data is returned as HTML/XML page that gets displayed?

If the data is returned as HTML/XML only we can send you an Aware IM function that gets HTML from the specific site (it is not included in the product yet, but it has been implemented). You will then need to parse the resulting HTML/XML yourself.

If they offer a web service to find customers then the whole thing could be much easier. You need to check with them if they do and if so ask them the URL that exposes the service definition file (WSDL).

Then you will need to define an intelligent object representing this system, define a channel of the SOAP type, specify the URL of the WSDL file in the channel settings and click on "Discover services". Aware IM will then automatically create all objects required to call this service.
