Steps to do #1 as support suggested:
1) Create a BO named City with attributes:
a) Name - PLAIN TEXT
b) TS -- TIME STAMP
2) Create a process with rules:
a) ENTER NEW City USING Main
b) City.TS=CURRENT_TIMESTAMP
c) VIEW City USING Main NOEDIT
3) Run this in Test mode and run the process.
You will see that after creating an instance of the City BO in 2a, the process adds a time stamp to that instance in 2b, then displays the instance with all the info in 2c.
