While running a query, selecting objects to edit, saving, and going back to the query result Internet Explore presented a warning message.
The message warned that a script running was causing Explorer to run slowly and if the script continued running Explorer could become unresponsive.
I continued and Explorer did become unresponsive and the application did not return to the query result on pressing the back button and the log out function did not work either. I had to close the browser and log on again.
After awhile executing the same procedure caused the problem again.
Is this a server problem? Internet Explorer? AwareIM? No other application was being run at the terminal at the time.
