HTML in Caption title?

RLJB

Has anyone found a clever way of using HTML in the caption title? Specifically it would be great to make the font 200%

aware_support

Have you actually tried using HTML in the caption? It might just work... (I am not sure that it will, but worth trying)

RLJB

Yeah I tried all different types of tags - strange thing is when you hit "Preview" the tags work ie HTML is applied to the Caption, but when placed into test they don't work.

I would love to see this too. I am trying to add context sensitive help for each of my core business objects and it would be super simple if I could just drop a new button into the title bar like so:

One of the ways to do this would be to use the Advanced button in a form editor and specify the following initialisation script:

config.title = "Your HTML text"

I made my caption title 200px. I guess HTML works.

<span style="font-size:200px !Important">Invoice</span>

🙂

nlarson

Thanks support, that's great!!

LOL Ren. I did the same modifying .x-panel-header-text-default-framed but beyond 20px if starts running off the bar.

nlarson

weird... now I am completely stumped.

Ren I cannot reproduce you results at all. What build are you on? Are you using the form caption field or the section caption? That is a form right, not a query?

Support config.title applies the title to the form section. Is there an option for the entire form?

Nlarson,
How did you get a other/specific icon on a form (top left in header) like you did in this screenshot? Is this possible per form / query?
Thanks

aware_support

You need to use one of the latest builds for this.

Rennur

If I may answer your question, this icon can be specified in the

Business Object Form > Form Section > Icon > 'Change' button

Not visible in my post pic, but icon setting is on the right of the Caption input field.

Thanks Rennur,
I know about the icon setting to set an icon on a form section tab but in the screenshot it looked like Nlarson had a specific icon in the header bar? (target icon to the left in the header bar):

yup works fine in build 1705. Now if I can just figure out how sort out the Tab Name, whihc also picks up the table and help button - lol.

For now using...

.x-tab{
max-width: 125px !important;
overflow: hidden;
}

is there a config option for just the tab name?

Rennur

Hey nlarson,

Put this code in your 'Advanced' properties of your attribute's form.

BO > Forms > FormName > Advanced > Initialisation script:

config.title = "<table border='0' width='100%'><tbody><tr><td align='left'>Invoice</td><td align='right'><a href='#' class='vsg-button'>Need Help?</a></td></tr></tbody></table>";

I've had some promising results.
You might to tweak tour class='vsg-button' CSS class.

Let us know how you go. Maybe a screenshot?

Cheers

Blah!

Sorry about the fingerrhea :oops:

Rennur

Also,

You can use the <<Object.Attribute>> as well.
