It would be nice to have an option to be able to hide a column in a query based on a READ PROTECT rule. Something like an extension to the READ PROTECT function.
I use READ PROTECT sometimes to customise a Form with additional attributes specific to a user or department workflow. e.g. If a condition exists then display these attributes.
This is so much easier than creating another perspective.
Most of the time there is always a Query involved, and by simply hiding the column on the back of a READ PROTECT saves me from having to create a new query and a new menu item
