When a user logs into my application, 4 tabs are displayed with the results of various queries. Each query result has an operation to edit the selected object. The output of the operation is directed to a popup window and the operation is a process with 1 action: VIEW Order USING Main.
I have 3 issues with this setup:
1) My form has the buttons (Save and Close) at the top of the form. The popup window has a Close button at the bottom. If the user uses the top button to close the form, the form closes, but the empty popup remains. Ideally, I would like to remove the bottom Close button and have the top Close button close the popup window.
2) When the users saves the form, all of my tabs are removed and the form is displayed in the main panel of the browser along with the popup window of the form. Is there any way to prevent this from happening?
3) I would like to give the users the functionality to print the order, so my main form has an operation to do this by starting a process with 1 action: PRINT FORM Main of Order. If the user uses this operation, the form prints, but again, I lose all of my tabs and the form is displayed in the main panel of the browser along with the popup window still displaying. This is also undesirable.
If I use EDIT instead of VIEW when editing the Order, issues 1 and 2 go away, but I also lose the print operation.
Is there anyway to get the print functionality along with a cleaner user experience (i.e. not losing my tabs)?
Thank you.
