Clearing a attribute

I have a BO 'Match' with a reference to BO 'Referee'. Referee is not mandatory in the BO.
This Referee is presented with a dropdown.

When creating a new Match the BO shows an empty Dropdown and then I can chose the Referee.

But how can a user clear this value? If I delete the value with my mouse, the old value is restored when saving.

Pressing the ESC key should clear the value. Or you should configure an option to display the "Undefined" value in your drop down. You can even assign a name to the undefined value.
