Locale problem

I have a BO with plaintext choicelist with two values: Yes and No.

I've added a locale and translated every "Yes" and "No" value to "Ja" and "Nee"

When saving the BO in runtime, the system says:

"Acceptable values for attribute are: Yes, No" (I even translated this message, but no solution)

I've seen other (old) issues about this problem, but it should be fixed a long time ago.

So are you saying that this particular string is not translated or that no strings are translated at all?

All strings used in dropdowns are visible (and translated).
But when running the app, it uses the design values to check if the chosen value is valid. So it checks "Ja" against "Yes".

A small addition: I've made small testproject with one BO.

I've added a YesNo attribute and a testdate attribute.

Then I've mad a locale and translated this to Ja/Nee and also changed the datesettings.

Dateattribureswith a different format then the system are also not working. Aware sees a different format as a non valid value.

Besides the translations, this is wrong too...

With Yes/No attributes the data in the database has to be Yes/No irrespective of the locale. If you are presenting this attribute as Ya/Nee then you need to add your own rules to convert this to Yes/No:
If MyObject.MyAttribute = 'Ya' Then MyObject.MyAttribute = 'Yes'

If this is a problem, do not use Yes/No attributes and use Text attribute instead.

As far as date formats is concerned - please describe in more detail what you did and what exactly doesn't work. Step-by-step description works best (see guidelines to the Problem forum on how to write a bug report). If there is a bug it helps us fix it quickly.

Are you saying that I have to writer a rule to translate these choices depening on the Locale of the user???

If you use Text attribute you don't need to write rules. Just add choices and translate them in your locale.

No thats not completely true. There are automatically rules generated and you have to Edit them with (all) of the translated values.
