Hi Can anyone help me please:

I want to perform this function:

I want to count the number of Transaction for Each Month and store that record in an Attribute call "Stats"

After that record is store I will then Create Report with this information where I will Group by YEAR and COUNTRY

how can I accomplish this? Is the correct function to use is "COUNT" if yes how can I construct this rule?

BO: CharterRequest
Attributes: Month, DateCreated, Stats, ClientAddress, ClientCountry, Year, etc...

Bo.stats = COUNT Transactions where MONTH(Transaction.date)=MONTH(your search date)

I want to have Transaction.stats as a calculated field to she the same result.

I do not have a "Search Date"

Bo.stats = COUNT Transactions where MONTH(Transaction.date)=MONTH(your search date - NO SEARCH DATE)

Bo.stats = COUNT Transactions where MONTH(Transaction.date)= ? ? ?

You say in your first post

So you must tell your process which month you want to count - even if it is only the current month - otherwise you would just count ALL transactions which - If I've understood you correctly is not what you want

ALSO count will only produce a number as a result - ie the total NUMBER of transactions that match your query (10 or 20 or 100 etc etc) So I think maybe COUNT is not what you are looking for.

You need to define more clearly what you are trying to achieve and then maybe we can help you better

What I want to do is to produce a Stats report which I can also use as a chart to show the number of Transaction for each Year group by Month. This is what info I want in the Report:

Year Month Country(Client Country) Stats
2009 Jan USA 150
Feb Canada 28
2010 Jan Brazil 10
Feb USA 1
Apr USA 3

I also want to run a query without specifing a Date Range. I just want to run a process that will show me that result.
