Can I change the format of an attribute in a query used for export? I'm using a core data base imported from an Access database. Dates are defined as DD/MM/YYYY in the imported data. I would like to show them as DD-MMM-YY or only MMM-YY in certain circumstances. I would also only want to display the last four characters of a member ID. Changing 999-99-9999 to XXX-XX-9999.
The User Guide is not very clear on this.
Import and Export in Operation mode states:
For example, if the Account.OpeningDate attribute is
defined to have “dd/MM/yy” format, the user can override this format and define the export format to be “dd/MM/yyyy”. This option can be useful if data is to be transferred to another system as described in scenario 4 of the Export and Import section.
'Scenario 4" simply states:
- It may be necessary to transfer data from the Aware IM-based system into some other (non-AwareIM) system. The data to be transferred can be exported into a comma delimited CSV file.
Then it goes on to describe several controlling options that don't address changing attribute formats on export and just leads back to the Operation Mode excerpt above.
Can do?
