Display relation attribute in scrollable text field

kklosson

I have a related attribute - a shortcut item, that is narrative text field. It would normally be an attribute of the business object being updated, but in this case it is in another related BO. Is there a way to display the text in a normal scrollable text field? Otherwise, if the text is long it eats up most of the form. Has to be something that Aware can do out of the box.

Thanks.

I've somewhat answered my own question by using an HTML text area to display the contents of the field and this works fine. However, where the text in the AwareIM entry form displays line breaks, the HTML text area does not. I don't see where any text area tag attribute will resolve that. So I'm curious why the two are different and whether there is a way to display the text in the HTML text area control display hard line breaks the same as in the AwareIM control.

You probably need to replace \n symbols in the text with the <br> tag.
