The CRM example is using the browser to scale the pictures.
If you upload a large image to the customer in the CRM then right click on the image and click 'view image info' in Firefox, it tells you actual image size and scaled size.
e.g. [643px × 444px (scaled to 200px × 200px)]
Does Aware IM have, or are you looking at adding a Image resampling function to reduce the file size of resized images being sent to the browser?
This would be useful when displaying a gallery or product selection where you want to display lots small thumbnail versions of the images and only have the larger version sent to the browser when the user selects the image/product.
If this functionality was added to Aware IM, another useful tool that would be useful is an Image type converter that converts Images on upload.
