Question about creating objects

I have an object called "Patient" with a gender attribute. Another object called "Test" also has a gender attribute.

Then I have an "Appointment" object that is made up of one "patient" and one or many "tests".

I need to be able to create an appointment with a given patient and have the tests filled in automatically where the genders match (patient.gender=test.gender).

My goal is to be able to select a patient and create a new appointment with the tests list already filled in where the genders match. I'd also like to let the creator view the "create appointment" form and deselect or add tests before creating the object.

Anyone have any ideas on how I might accomplish this?

Define a rule on the Appointment object:

If Appointment.Tests IS UNDEFINED Then
FIND Test WHERE Test.Gender=Appointment.Patient.Gender
INSERT Test IN Appointment.Tests
End If
