Hi I wonder if someone might be able to help me? That is if i can explain my problem clearly!
Bear with me.........
I have a BO called 'Labour' it has attributes to collect data relating to Description, cost, supply rate, etc of some sort of labour resource
I have another BO called 'ProjectType' and it has an attribute called 'DefaultLabour'. this attribute is a dropdown displaying a list of all instances of BO 'Labour' for which the user may select one.
I have a third BO Called 'Quote' and it has an attribute called 'TypeOfProject' that displays a drop down list of all instances of BO 'ProjectType'.
BO 'Quote' also has attributes named 'LabourDescription', 'LabourCost', 'LabourSupplyRate'
What i want to do is allow the user to create 'ProjectTypes' and then each time they create a new quote they can select an instance of a 'project type' and the system will automaticly "copy" the values 'Description', 'Cost', 'SupplyRate' etc from the relevant 'BOLabour' as stated at 'ProjectType.DefaultLabour' to the corresponding attributes in 'BOQuote'. The user would then be able to make changes to the values of 'BOQuote.LabourCost' etc without affecting the "Original" attribute values in 'BOLabour'
What kind of rules do i have to put in place to make this happen?? Any thoughts welcome,
Thanks
Andy
