Clarion to Aware

I would like to connect to some existing Clarion DB files (tps). Has anyone done this and if so where do I start?

I'm a long-time Clarion programmer but my guess is that the shortest path is to migrate that data to one of the SQL databases directly supported by Aware. If the intent is to leave the tps files intact for continued use in a Clarion app, then you may also have to consider migrating the Clarion app to the SQL database, which may or may not be an option.

But I haven't messed with external databases in Aware. I'm unsure if you can get to an ODBC data driver. If so, that would have some promise for you.

It has to be a JDBC driver, not ODBC (unless you want to use ODBC-JDBC bridge)

I have an ODBC driver which works ok. Cant find a JDBC one. How do I set up a ODBC to JDBC bridge?

Found one is distributed with AwareIM. Have therefore set up a Custom existing external DB connection using the bridge and can discover attributes ok! My issue now is when I run a query I get an error in the log for my ODBC driver "Unexpected extra token : AS". Any ideas of how to fix this last issue?

Sounds like this particular driver does not support the standard "AS" keyword, which is part of the SQL standard. This cannot be fixed without changing the Aware IM code specifically for this driver. Unless you find a different one...

Yes it appears so. I am searching for another ODBC driver but in the meantime is there anything I can try in AwareIm to not use the AS keyword?
