edit button disappears when editing object from calendar

I have an appointment style business object called Tours. Tours can have multible TourBookings that are displayed on the standard Form for creating and editing Tours. I have enabled the edit function in the table of items for tourbookings.

When I create or edit a Tour starting the process from a menu command, everything works fine. When I create or edit a Tour starting from a calendar view, I am unable to edit Tourbookings from the Toursform as the edit button is missing. The screenshots below show the difference:

Anybody any ideas how to fix this?

This is most probably because editing from calendar is done by a process. If this is the case make sure that your process uses the VIEW action instead of the EDIT action to show the form

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately it doesn't work.

In the query that displays the calendar, in the above example I used the standard edit functionality.

After reading your suggestion, I changed this to call a process that issues the View Tours command. This brings up the standard edit form as before, while closing the calendar, not showing a back button en also the required edit button still misses.

Any other ideas? I really need to be able to use this.

Does your calendar have an old interface or the new one?

If it's the new one try defining an operation for the query that displays the calendar. The operation would start the process that uses the VIEW action. The operation should be available in the pop-up menu when the user clicks the right mouse button

I'm using the new calendar interface.

Following your suggestion I did the following:

From the visual perspective I'm running a process:

DISPLAY 'All Tours Calendar' whereby All Tours Calendar is the query that displays my calendar.

In the above query I changed the standard edit behavior to call a process:

VIEW Tours

This indeed brings up the Tour with the missing buttons, but the form only shows a save button. Pressing this will save the record, but will not close the window and bring back the calendar.
