Show or hide attribute depending on drop down

I know there are conditional tags in presentatons and whole form sections can be hidden, but is it possible within a form section to have an attribute be hidden when the form loads and only show it if a certain selection is made in another attribute?

For example...

Attribute is AccessLevel with two choices: member / guest
If user selects member then a new attribute appears on the form called MemberLevel which is a reference attribute with a lot of choices

Therefore, I only want the MemberLevel attribute to appear if member is chosen on the AccessLevel dropdown.

You can do it by using the READ PROTECT rules - they can turn visibility on or off. If you also make them dynamic - tick the "Use rule in dynamic recalculation" in the Advanced tab of the rule, visibility will be switched dynamically.
