Aware_support. Help. I've just deleted a new version of my membership database I was working on. It was on test and I must have pressed delete instead of lock for editing.

I've checked the MySQL Basdbtest database and all my tables and mods are still there. Is there any way I can get my version 3 back?

I should add I've got an incremental backup from 3:00am yhis morning - but I've no idea which folders/tables to restore in order to get the version I've been working on back

I think I did that once. It was a real panic. I believe I simply "loaded" the version. Alternatively, reload the BSV. Shouldn't that do it?

I'll try the first - but I hadn't exported the BSV so I can't reload it. I can go back to last nights backup for the complete AwareIM directory, but there seems to be some tables in basdbtest (like domainversions) so I'm not sure whether a flag has been set in that and whether I'll need to restore the basdbtest schema (which I can do 'cos being saturday I haven't done any work today)

But obviously - if there's a chance, I don't want to screw things up by dong something wrong at this stage

I should add - it was a deletion of a new major version under test, so there's no Obsolete version to "Load" It might come back if I recreate a new Major version from my current published version but then again I might lose everything and have to start over. All I know at this stage is that the new tables I created are still showing in the Mysql schema as are the additional fields (attributes) I created in some existing tables.

A word from aware support would set my mind at rest 😃

If you don't have this version in your backup you lost it. How could you hit Delete and then confirm the deletion?

ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS backup the database and store your current work in the BSV file.

You need to try restoring the database now - you need DOMAINVERSIONS table

I didn't think I did - which is the worrying thing. Either I'm getting senile, working too many long hours or something glitched in the system.

Probably a combination of 1 and 2.

Started again, got the bsv exported - going to bed now EARLY (for me) - but thanks for getting back to me - I realise it's Sunday.

On reflection. When firing up the configurator at the start of a session, the various versions (both published and test) are not loaded. The "delete" option is directly underneath "Load and Lock". Mouse (in my case Laptop finger pad) must have jumped down a couple of millimeters.

Just a small thing...... but so much pain. Don't suppose it could be moved?
