At the moment Aware IM does not automatically import relationships of the existing databases - you need to support them manually. For example, if there is a foreign key to some other database table you can import it and get an attribute in Aware IM that represents this foreign key. Then to retrieve related records, you can define a query that looks like this:
FIND RelatedObject WHERE RelatedObject.PrimaryKey=MyObject.ForeignKey
This assumes that you have two objects MyObject and RelatedObject that are linked through a foreign key in the existing tables. When you import object definitions from existing tables, it is assumed that you have ForeignKey and PrimaryKey attributes respectively in both objects. The above query can be run from anywhere where MyObject is in Context, for example, if the user is looking at the form of some instance of MyObject, you can define an operation for this form that would invoke the above query. When the user clicks on the button representing this operation on the form, Aware IM will display records that are related to the instance being currently displayed.
