Label Control Alignment

I'm having a problem with the alignment of form controls, text boxes, list boxes etc and their labels. When I add an attribute and then position it on the main form with the edit tool the "preview" shows it positioned correctly. On execution the control is dropped a line below the label.

I would like to refine the positions of labels and controls on a form. Is there a way to do this similar to the document/report editor?

Hi,

When this last happened to me, there was insufficient space in the area where I was trying to place the two controls. On the preview, all looked fine - but execute, and it lost shape completely.

In my case, the label width plus the attribute width plus the 2nd label width plus the 2nd attribute width exceeded the section width which I had allocated.

As a test, perhaps just widen your form to the maximum and see if the problem persists. Check the width of your columns and the separator sections whether expressed in pixels or %.

You may have a completely different problem, but that was my experience.

Thanks for the tip. I was hoping the group settings would help but I don't know how to estimate points or %. What worked was putting the label over the text box where it was getting out of shape.
