shortcuts on reports not showing correct data

Hi,
While using shortcuts on reports I am getting database reference values, not the actual data.
Like there is a reference Object and A shortcut defined in a Business Object. Now when i create new document report and place same shortcut attribute on the report, on run time it won't working.

did any of you have similar issue?

You don't need to use shortcuts in reports - you can use full paths to the attributes you need.

Shortcuts were created primarily as a workaround for queries only that do not support full attribute paths
