Presentatiton Positioning

I have created a presentation that is presented by clicking on a link within a query. What I can't figure out is how to position the presentation. I have a lot of white space at the top and left of the presentation even though all the margins are set to 0.

re: space on the left. You will have to put blank area on the right of your presentation.

Be sure to set the height of all unused bands to zero.

Increasing the width of the presentation worked in pushing the presentation contents to the left.

Is there a way to setup a field so that it auto grows or is there a way to have a section auto grow based on field contents? For example, I have a Comments field that could be up to 500 characters. Some of the detail rows have comments and others don't. I know that I could expand the detail section to the max the comments would be, but then I have all the white space in between the details.

Yes. On the general tab of the item properties, select Stretch to Fit Contents (or whatever it's called).

I had tried that before, but the only way the field is viewable is if I make the band height tall enough to handle all the contents of the field. This then ignores the fact that I want to have the band expand when there is more text and shrink when there is less.

Do you have the field inside of a rectangle or anything? I have found that inside a rectangle has some issues even when the rectangle is set to expand. I have had to place expandable text fields in their own space in order to expand without impacting other elements. If you are do that and still have this problem, my service to you has reached its zenith. Good luck.

Unfortunately I'm not using any. It is pretty much just a handful of fields on one row.

I did solve the problem. It was that the layout in the presentation properties was set to Horizontal. Once I changed it to Vertical it worked fine.
