Is there anyway that one can simply design from a blank page with no "title", "header", "detail", "summary" etc. which are irrelevant for filling out a pre printed form.
I just posted a query on this topic and solved some of the issues on my own. But I can't get beyond this problem
I have a number of printed forms that need to be filled out with data from the BO. 1 instance = 1 form. They are standard 8 1/2 by 11. When I enter the design mode I set all the bands, except detail, to 0 height and not visible. Then I can fairly easily position the attribute tags where they need to be with a little testing and adjusting. Even referenced attributes work quite nicely.
The problem is I have two fields at the bottom of the form, well within the 8 1/2 by 11. In fact within the 3/4" bottom margin. I can't seem to make the detail section large enough to accommodate those two lines.
When I save I get an error that the data is outside the bands. Even if I move the bands up on the detail portion of the design area and save without error the form doesn't print and the log shows "bottom of field outside band" errors.
