DISPLAY MESSAGE ASYNC - am I missing something?

In a process, I have the following statements:

DISPLAY MESSAGE ASYNCH DELAY 3 'My Message.'
DISPLAY DOCUMENT 'My Document'

In this configuration I get a message but no document. If I remove the DISPLAY MESSAGE statement, the document generates just fine.

This continues to be an issue in 4.9. It seems I cannot display an ASYNC message prior to creating my document. The ASYNC message will be very helpful since I have some documents that take a short while to generate and it's useful to advise the user that a popup blocker may prohibit the display. Can you confirm that this is a problem and potentially put it on your todo list?

Just curious if this is getting any attention. Here's how fixing this can save me a lot. A common problem when Displaying a Report is that a pop-up blocker can blow the whole deal. I have even been stumped a few times because the visual clues that a pop-up is being blocked can be pretty obscure. I would like to use the ASYNC message to display something like "Report is processing - check pop-up blocker". It would help a lot.
