Non-password Plain Text Attributes that require confirmation

I created a text attribute that requires confirmation and it is not a password attribute. I used the new password and confirmation selections on a plain text attribute and technically it works perfectly but practically it doesn't. The problem is that the number I am capturing is a drivers license number. The field must be maintained as an encrypted attribute and it must be validated with a confirmation. The system automatically generates a pop-up form that says 'Confirm Password' 'Please re-enter the password:'

Is there a way to make this configurable. The feature you have for encryption and confirmation is great but it is limited to only passwords.

If I have missed a way to do this in the configuration tool please let me know.

So what is the problem - the fact that it displays stars instead values as all passwords do?

I think they are saying they would like the ability to use another word other than 'password' in the confirmation prompt.

Tom is correct. The prompt doesn't make any sense for anything other than passwords. The functionality is great and could be used for so many different purposes but very confusing to a user if they see 'Please re-enter the password' when the attribute is something other than a password (like my drivers license # example).

I would like to use this feature to check input of email addresses. I think it would be a good idea for the Pop up confirmation to refer to the attribute name rather than Password

So if I leave password unchecked, then the attribute will not be encrypted, but confirmation of whatever the attribute is will be required
