Hi All,

I want to ask about Create Object

When we create object, usually after the object is created, the blank form to create the object is not closed. Can it be closed automatically after user creates the object?
If the form has several tabs, can we 'force' user to navigate through all tabs before creating the object? Someone suggested to change 'Create' button with 'Next' to navigate to the next tab. I don't know whether that's possible or not.
Can a Process automatically be started right after the object is created? (not from the process button in the object form)

Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks for your kind help.

#2 - have you checked out wizard navigtion?

#3 - Yes, you can start this process by using IF BOname IS NEW .....

#1 Sorry I didn't mention it clearly. What I mean is on the Visual Perspective. We can create a menu with Type "Create Object". Suppose I create a new menu "Create Object" for BO X. In the web application, when user chose "Create X", after the object is created, the form won't close. Can the form be closed after the object is created?

#3 Thanks Tom. Unfortunately my Process contains DISPLAY DOCUMENT and AwareIM doesn't let this process started automatically in the BO's Rule

#1 -- instead of using "Create Object" menu item, associate this menu item with the process as I suggested if you want the form to "disappear".

#3 -- that's correct ... a rule can not effect the UI.

You could accomplish this with a custom button which would save, then run a process.

I just want to confirm Tom, so by design in AwareIM, after we create object and/or edit object the form will not disappear automatically?

It sounds like you have selected the BO name as a Process Input. You don't want to do that.

That's correct when you use "Create New" menu option.

Because I want to create object from BO Task (for example), so I put in the Process' rule:

ENTER NEW Task

When the process is started, it will prompt user with a list of Task's records and ask user to chose record, before it can proceed to the Task form.

On the "General" tab of the process, in the "Process Input" secion, DO NOT put task in the right side of the screen .. in the "for this process" section.
