Licence File Location

I have Developer version installed and I want to create an executable of an application. Where in the directory structure can I find the location of my licence file? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

Building an executable requires a licence file and also a read me file. These are files created by you (the application vendor) - not the Aware licence file.

Just create a directory and place 2 text files in it - one called 'Licence' and the other called 'Read Me'. As part of the build process, you point Aware to the directory location of the files.

Obviously, you will want to place all your own Terms and Conditions, Read Me info etc in your files eventually, but for now blank files will do.

Hi Peter,
I hvae created those files you were suggesting and when I run the Build executable command I get the message "Required file 'build.xml' is not found". after I click mOK in the Build executable dialog box.
Can you please help.

Do you have a VAR directory under your AwareIM root directory?

If not, you are probably using wrong Aware IM installation. The Developer Edition requires a special installation. You will need to go to your account and update your Aware IM installation from the account - this will make sure that you have the right installation file.

Yes I do have a VAR directory under my AwareIM root directory.

Is there a file AwareIM/VAR/bincore/build.xml?

The VAR/bincore directory on the clent machine is empty, whereas on the server machine there are a number of files in the bincore directory including the build.xml file.
