A Problem Controlling Subreports

I need to construct a report that shows some attributes of the parent object followed by all records of a child attribute followed by a few more attributes of the parent object, then all of the records of another child attribute, and possibly repeat this sequence a few times.

It seems that when I place a parent attribute between two child attribute sub-reports, I have problems that attributable to a page break. For example, the report will print the child attribute records, then print the parent record attribute (the in between attribute), then page break, then more of the previous child attribute records. So I cannot get the sequence I need.

All I want to do is assemble a report that sequentially prints the parent attributes or child attributes in just the right order. But I can't get it to happen. It seems as though the report engine was designed to print master, then detail, but no more master attributes after that.

I have tried putting the parent attribute between the sub-reports either as a stand-alone attribute in the Detail section, or built into a sub-report and placed between two other sub-reports. But I get the same results both ways.

Can anyone advise on this problem? Let me know if I have not explained it well, I can provide some screen shots of what I am doing.

I am still confounded by this problem and obviously not getting much help. My expectation is that when I add a sub report to the detail section of a report, the full embedded report will print before moving to other elements, such as other sub reports. I am placing about 10 sub reports in the detail sections of my main report. In most cases sub reports print in the order they are placed on the report but in many instances, a sub report prints in the middle of an earlier sub report. This makes a confusing mess. Page breaks seems to influence this somewhat. Are there any tips for placing multiple sub reports into a report?
