Cannot send any email

For two days now I've been trying to get AwareIm send an email. In my last despair i tried it the most simple way possible. I created an EmailOutNotification object with just the standard fields that I all gave initial values. I have an intelligent object defined containing the emailaddresses I want to send to.

The I defined the following Process:
FIND Leden WHERE Leden.NaamLid='Gert Visser'
FIND Emailadressen WHERE Emailadressen.Lid=Leden
SEND EmailOutNotification TO Emailadressen

The first statement results in one found object
The second statement also finds one object
The Send statement according to the log is executed and I see all the values to the EmailOutNotificatien filled correctly.

Yet no email is send.

Anyone has any idea where I can look further to solve this?

Do you have records in a subdirectory of C:\AwareIM\UNSENT_EMAIL\ ?

If the log says its been been sent, then maybe you have a problem with the destination server rejecting the email because it regards the message as spam.

I spent a whole day on this, couldn't understand why i was not receiving the emails i was sending myself, then when I checked my ReceivedEmail in the AwareSystem all the rejected/bounced emails were sitting there

No nothing there. There is a folder with my domain name, but it's empty.

Thanks for the tip, but no. I've tried to send over 300 messages already and my inbox is empty. Not a single bounce.

I am referring to the received emails in the AwareIM System, i think you are refering to your own email inbox.

Anyway to save yourself a lot of time, it may be a good idea to load up the CRM example and then work on getting that running with your own email settings.

Hi ACDC,

Well I installed the CRM Application, logged in in testmode. Changed the incoming and outgoing mailserver details in SystemSettings to my own details, then changed the email address of the first customer to my own email address, replied to an email from that customer.

Again the process runs, no errors in the log and no email send.

I would publish the BSV & not run in test mode.

Incoming e-mails do not work in the test mode (there are reasons for this). Outgoing e-mails should work in both modes!

Further on this. When investigating problems with outgoing e-mails always check the output of the Aware IM server - all the diagnostics should be there.

Thanks for the server tip. I'm still quite new to AwareIM and didn't realize the server has a log too.

Thanks to this I found the problem.
