Developer Community Upgrade

I noticed that for this year Aware IM has had a new version every 2 months... March, May, July. Doesn't that mean there was supposed to be a new version in September?

I'd like to be in sync with Aware IM but there are a few things that Aware IM lacks that is pretty standard with other developer communities. For example:

Published product roadmap
Company blog with an RSS feed
Code bank (http://code.google.com/)
App store (like the Force.com App Xchange)

Does anyone else have an ideas? What do you guys think about mine?[/list]

Actually, there were four new versions released in September. As I recall, the AwareIM staff have posted their position regarding a roadmap somewhere in this forum if you do a search, I am sure that you will find it.

I agree that it would be nice to have a more formal way of being able to provide some input into the direction of AwareIM developments but I am not sure that individual postings of personal desires is the way to go. It may serve to give the development team some ideas to consider but doesn't provide them with any idea of how popular those desires are.

I believe that this forum has served a viable function in tweaking the direction of development. I know that my earlier long list of personal desires is a whole lot shorter than it used to be.

That all being said, my vote would be for a more robust and user friendly report writer.

A new version will be released within 2-3 weeks. It will have a few new features (including recurring appointments and background processes), a number of improvements and bug fixes.

I will be more happy as they are coming (New Releases).

Its be great to hear from aware of the new release with the new features every they introduce like now.

Keep it up AwareIM Team.

All Users must be keen to see it.

I think the idea of an Application Exchange has merit, especially to position Aware IM as a Platform similar to Saleforce or Quickbase. There's room in that space for a product like this.
