I'm using aware im 4.7 and i'm generating reports which have sub-reports.
The reports and sub-reports need user input parameter, that is Month and Year to be input to the function, example: MONTH(Task.StartDate)={Month}. This parameter is asked once at the run time and used in the report and 2 sub-reports.
The {Month} and {Year} parameter work well for the report. The report shows correct data which StartDate's month and year is the same with the value user has input.
However, this didn't work for the sub-reports. The example of the query for the sub-report is:
FIND Task WHERE MONTH(Task.StartDate)={Month} AND YEAR(Task.StartDate)={Year}
Supposed I have 3 Task records which StartDate are on September 2009. Using above query, it only returns 1 record.
If I specify the specific value and make the query like this:
FIND Task WHERE MONTH(Task.StartDate)=09 AND YEAR(Task.StartDate)=2009
It returns 3 correct records!
But I don't want to specify value in the query because the report will be based on user input.
Do you have any suggestion? Forgive me if this is a simple question, since I'm a newbie. Thanks!
