Calendar - Time Question

Hi,
To be honest, this seems to be such a blatant requirement with so many people struggling with it (including myself) that hopefully this will be considered as a required core enhancement in a future build and should not need community funding.

Btw, drag and drop functionality is not the only one to suffer using this workaround. Recurrence becomes unusable as well. The new scheduler/calendar is slick but it doesn't expose it's functionality very well for playing around with.

pete, would you be interested in donating if we can have aware support escalate this?

i would if there was a price tag which we could share the cost

the two use cases are:

case #1:

scenarios where its a service organization - we only need

1) Date of Appointment
2) Start and End time AM / PM

case #2:

multi-day scenarios like booking of rooms, airplanes, resources or project tasks which are duration of more than 24 hrs etc..

Hi,
I would be willing but all I am personally looking for is a modification to the time picker widget such that it offers a time picker as well as a date picker. These are quite common and there are several references on the ext js site. One such example: http://www.extjs.eu.

so we continue with our planned approach - Step 1

goal: on create of appointment object disassemble the StartTime MM/DD/YYYY HH:mm a into 2 attributes DATE and TIME

allowing us to let users build there Appointment Date & Time in 2 clicks

Date is easy as we can use DATE_PART , however the outcome is that the inbuild "real" timestamp is DD/MM/YYYY

Time is not so easy as there is no TIME_PART, so we copy StartTime, and
then CHARS_FROM_RIGHT into another attribute. Then are to create a HH:mm from the CHARS_FROM_RIGHT back into a time attribute.

does anyone have an ideas on better approach's or designs?
