How do i upload my application to an website...

Hi iam new to AwareIM. Iam finisined with my web application. How do i upload it to my excisting website & create an link on my website to login to the application.

No, when i bought AwareIm i installed it on my desktop pc. So i done the whole application on my pc, but i want it to upload it know to run via internet. The whole purspouse was to do web applications for clients.

AwareIM runs 2 ways:

1) As a server application
2) Run time on a local machine

It sounds like you want to do #1. If so, you need to run AwareIM on a server. It's not an application builder that you just upload a finished product to a website.

Yes i want to do #1. So how do i go about it to run AwareIM on an Server. Because it seems to me that i`am running it as #2 at this stage.

2) get dedicated server or VPS
3) follow instructions in AwareIM Installation Guide

2) I`am a Website Host re-seller (Can use dedicated Server from them)
3) Will go and look at the instructions in the Intallation Guide.

When you have installed AwareIm on your VPS, you then have to run productkey.bat which you will find in C:\AwareIM\bin

Enter your product key and everything should be ok. If Not, you'll have to ask Aware support for a key specific to your production server

A dedicated server is just like your local machine. Your hosting provider must have given you a remote access to the dedicated server. Just install Aware IM there as you would on your local machine.

Just want to know if iam on the right track. I uploaded the Setup file of AwareIm to my public_html & clicked on the setup file to install AwareIM. Looks like its downloading the file to my pc. I suppose it`s gne download & then start installing on the server.

In Windows:
Connect to the server via Remote Desktop Connection. Install AwareIM's Setup program just like you would any other program. Just click on the Setup program & it will install to default location.

Tom you said the AwareIM can run two ways. Why can you or would you not install the runtime version of a BS to a HOST VPS environment for a customer rather than install a full version of AwareIM? You do the development on your local PC with a developer licence and then just upload runtime versions for your different customers onto their preferred HOST VPS? The licence cost for the customer is cheaper is it not? Why does everyone always talk about deploying a full version of AWAREIM to a HOST VPS? What am I missing in my understanding?

Can someone explain why you would not install runtime version for customers on their preferred host vps instead of a full version? About to become a developer and would like to know if you dont host applications yourself and instead allow customers to choose their own Host VPS do you install runtime version for them or a full version?
