This is going to sound cruel, but many people come to gliding in retirement years - because they have the time to dedicate to training. When it comes to computers they often aren't the sharpest knives in the box. It's taken me 20 years to get them to click ONE mouse button, let alon intruduce the concept of a left and a right button
My old system had an asp.net calendar control very similar in appearance to the date picker control that pops up next to a date or timestamp attribute,
. It was in one corner of the window All the user had to do was click on a day and the screen would automatically refresh with the data as described in the first post. It was simple, clean, effective.
Currently they have to select a menu option, wait for the modal to appear, (which uses a date attribute) open the date picker, select the day click "save"
don't get me wrong. system is working and I've added some workarounds "Forward 1 day" and back "1 day" in my "change date" menu item. I was just looking for a more elegant solution. I can send you a link to my old system if you want to see what I mean.
But hey - if there's only me wants this - don't bother - it was just a "wish"
